Palasades Tahoe Aerial Tram Lift

Palasades Tahoe Aerial Tram page.
The weather in the Lake Tahoe area got windy and cold so we opted to skip doing a hike toxay and instead visit the Palasades Tahoe Aerial Tram as an alternative activiyy.
The cost was $41 per person. The ticket allows you to go up multiple times if you like. The restaurant at High Camp up on top was closed as were other activities. As it is off season, there wasn’t a lot going on but the view was what we were after.
Palasades Tahoe was the site of the 1960 Olympics.

We begin our ride up with phone cameras in hand.

Mai and Ying.

We made it to the top and explore the view from outside.

Selfie as the wind blows our hair back.

This is where the tram car arrives.

This place is typically a lot busier but is quiet today.

Inside there is a small museum with artifacts from the 1960 Olympics on display.

Outside are Olympic rings in all their glory next to a skating rink.

The restaurant is closed. There is a small snack shop open but we opt to eat in town instead.

Some pictures from on the way back down.

Some hikers made it to this platform.

Back on the ground. There is a giant chair situated in town for photos.

We find a “Fireside” pizza restaurant with outstanding pizza.

After lunch we explore the town a bit before heading out.
