This game was created for GBJAM14. Charlie created his game submission to the contest in a week. See the page for the context rules, but briefly it had to be Gameboy like and a secondary theme of the game should be “old gold”.

The player instructions are as follows:

You are the guy with hat. You’ve found some gold in an ancient temple filled with mummies, bats, and ghosts. Uh oh, looks like the gold was a trap and now it’s flooding with water! Get out of there, guy with hat!

On the keyboard you can use Z to jump and arrow keys to move around. You can also raise the water faster with the X key.

I paused the game while playing to capture a couple screen shots.

The guy with the hat needs to jump on the platforms before the rising water overtakes him.

With me playing, the guy with the hat is almost out of air and about to die.
